Bluey is heading to Anaheim. Disney has confirmed that the Emmy winning Australian pup and her family will be part of the show floor at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026, running August 14 through 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

D23 2026 itself is shaping up as an expanded event. Disney has said this year’s show floor is the largest in D23 event history, filling the Anaheim Convention Center with immersive walkthrough locations, interactive experiences and first look moments from across the company. The weekend also builds on a kickoff day at Disneyland Resort on August 13, featuring a Disney Legends Cavalcade.

The Bluey activation centers on a dedicated Bluey Movie booth. At select times throughout the weekend, Bluey and Bingo will be available for photos with fans. Reservations are required for a chance to meet the sisters in person, so families hoping to snag a spot should plan ahead once D23 shares its scheduling details.

The booth’s name gives away why Bluey is getting this kind of spotlight. The Bluey movie is coming to theaters on August 6, 2027, marking the character’s theatrical debut after years as a streaming and television phenomenon. Walt Disney Studios will distribute the film, with BBC Studios handling financing and licensing and Ludo Studio producing.

Joe Brumm, the series creator, is writing and directing the film himself. Amber Naismith is producing, with Richard Jeffery serving as co-director. Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack are returning to voice Chilli and Bandit, the same parents who have anchored the show since it began.

For a series that started as a seven minute preschool show in Australia, that lineup of returning talent matters. Bluey was created by Brumm and is produced by the multiple Emmy winning Ludo Studio, co-commissioned by ABC Children’s in Australia and BBC Studios Kids and Family. Outside Australia, the show reaches audiences worldwide through Disney+ and Disney Junior, along with Disney Channel.

That reach has translated into real numbers. Nielsen data from early 2024 placed Bluey as the No. 1 most streamed series in the United States across all audiences, not just among preschool programming. The show has also picked up an International Emmy Kids Award along the way, recognition that has followed the Heeler family from Brisbane living rooms to households around the globe.

Disney has leaned into that momentum before. In April 2024, the extended length special “The Sign” premiered across Disney’s platforms, running 28 minutes and following the Heeler family through the sale of their house and a wedding. It was the kind of milestone episode that showed just how much emotional weight this little blue dog can carry.

D23 2026 will not be the only place fans can find Bluey at a Disney event this year. Disneyland Resort has already brought the character into its 2026 calendar with “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!,” a live show that transformed the Fantasyland Theatre into Bluey’s school grounds when it opened on March 22. That production folds in performances, games like Keepy Uppy, and meet and greets with supporting characters including the Grannies and Chattermax, running throughout the year at Disneyland Park.

Between that park show and now a dedicated presence on the D23 floor, the picture is clear. Bluey has moved from a beloved streaming favorite into a full member of the Disney event calendar, standing alongside Marvel, Lucasfilm and Disney Animation on a show floor that Disney itself is calling its biggest yet.

What exactly the Bluey Movie booth will look like beyond the photo opportunities has not been detailed yet. Disney has not released booth design images, panel plans or merchandise previews tied to the activation, so those specifics remain something to watch for as D23 gets closer. Given how the studio has built anticipation for other 2026 showcases, more information about hours, booth design and any accompanying presentation would not be a surprise as the event approaches.

For now, what is confirmed is enough to get fans excited. Bluey and Bingo will be on the show floor. The booth carries the name of the upcoming movie. And that movie already has a release date, a returning voice cast and the same creator who built the series from the ground up. For a show that started in a small Brisbane studio, that is a pretty big weekend in Anaheim to look forward to.
