Camp Rock 3 Lights Up D23 2026 as the Jonas Brothers Become Disney Legends
Disney's Ultimate Fan Event welcomes campers back to the bunk with a Camp Rock 3 activation on the show floor, right as the Jonas Brothers are honored as 2026 Disney Legends.
There is a particular kind of magic that happens when a Disney Channel classic gets to come home. This week, that magic has a bunk assignment. D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event runs August 14 through 16, 2026, at the Anaheim Convention Center, and Camp Rock has officially returned to the map.
Camp Rock 3 is part of the Disney+ Hulu Experience on the D23 show floor this year. Disney’s own show floor announcement describes the pavilion as a space built around a signature 4D theater, exclusive merchandise, and a collectible mystery pin quest, with immersive photo opportunities inspired by a lineup of current Disney+ and Hulu titles. Camp Rock 3 is named among that lineup, alongside Percy Jackson and the Olympians, American Horror Story, The Simpsons, Only Murders in the Building, and Marvel Television’s VisionQuest.
Fans hoping to meet the cast in person have a reason to head to Talent Central as well. Disney has confirmed that stars from Camp Rock 3 will be on hand throughout the event to meet fans, joining talent from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Bob’s Burgers, The Proud Family, The Simpsons, Phineas and Ferb, and the professional dancers of Dancing with the Stars.
The timing could not feel more deliberate. Camp Rock 3 premieres August 13, 2026 on Disney Channel, with the film landing on Disney+ the very next day, right as D23 opens its doors. For a fandom that has waited sixteen years for a third trip up to camp, watching the movie debut in the same week as its own D23 activation is the kind of scheduling that feels like a gift.
At the center of it all is a story built to feel like a reunion. According to Disney’s official synopsis, Connect 3 loses their opening act ahead of a major reunion tour, so the band returns to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. Campers compete for that opening slot, and the film promises new tensions, unexpected alliances, and a few romantic sparks along the way.
Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas return as Connect 3, and Maria Canals-Barrera is back as well. Joining them is a new generation of campers played by Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Sherry Cola, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, and Ava Jean. Disney has also confirmed that Demi Lovato will reprise her role as Mitchie Torres for a cameo appearance, while also serving as an executive producer on the film alongside Tim Federle and the Jonas Brothers themselves. Veronica Rodriguez directs from a script by Eydie Faye, with choreography by Jamal Sims.
Music has always been the heartbeat of this franchise, and Camp Rock 3 is already singing. The first single, ‘One Beat Away,’ performed by Liamani Segura and the cast, is available now across major streaming platforms, and Disney has confirmed a full soundtrack releasing both digitally and on vinyl this August.
It is worth remembering just how much weight this franchise carries. Disney has confirmed that both Camp Rock, which premiered in 2008, and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, which followed in 2010, rank among the top ten Disney Channel Original Movies of all time, and each was the number one cable movie premiere in its respective year. Those numbers are part of why this third chapter matters so much to longtime fans, and why Disney has chosen to give it a visible place on the D23 show floor rather than treat it as a quiet streaming release.
Then there is the honor that ties the whole week together. D23 has named the Jonas Brothers as 2026 Disney Legends, recognizing them for shaping a generation of Disney music. The announcement specifically points back to their lead roles in Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, as well as their own series JONAS, as part of the legacy behind the honor. Camp Rock 3 is listed among their forthcoming projects in that same announcement, drawing a direct line from where their Disney story began to where it stands today.
The Disney Legends ceremony takes place Sunday, August 16 at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time at Honda Center in Anaheim, with Ryan Seacrest returning to host. The ceremony will air on Disney+, so fans who cannot make it to Anaheim in person will still get to watch the moment the brothers receive their honor.
Put together, this D23 has become something close to a full circle week for the Camp Rock family. A new film is premiering. A show floor pavilion is inviting fans to step into its world. Talent Central is bringing its stars face to face with the people who grew up on the original soundtrack. And three brothers who once played fictional rock stars at a summer camp are being recognized as real Disney Legends on the very same stage.
Beyond what has already been confirmed, fans are watching for more details to surface as D23 continues through the weekend, including further looks at the film’s reception and any additional Camp Rock surprises Disney may have tucked into the show floor experience. For now, what is certain is enough to make longtime campers very happy. The bunks are open again, and this time the whole Disney family is there to welcome everyone back.
