Magic Kingdom Closes to Guests at 6 p.m. on 16 October 2026, A MNSSHP Party Night

October 4 is one of 16 Halloween party dates when a regular ticket covers Magic Kingdom only through 6 p.m. The separate party ticket allows entry from 4 p.m. for an event running 7 p.m. to midnight.

Checked October 4, 2026: Disney lists every 2026 date for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party as sold out. Ticket inventory can change, so Disney’s own event page remains the place to check before making plans.

Magic Kingdom is open to regular ticket holders today, but the regular park day ends at 6 p.m. Tonight’s separately ticketed Halloween party begins at 7 p.m. and runs until midnight. Party ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. without buying a day ticket or making a theme park reservation.

That timing is the part that can catch a traveler. A day ticket still gets you into Magic Kingdom on a party date. It does not cover the party, and guests without party admission are directed out after regular operating hours. Anyone counting on dinner or nighttime entertainment needs either a party ticket or a different Magic Kingdom date.

October party dates

Disney scheduled 38 Halloween parties in 2026, from August 7 through October 31. Sixteen fall in October. On each of these dates, Magic Kingdom’s regular park day is scheduled to end at 6 p.m.:

  • October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 9
  • October 13, 15, 16 and 18
  • October 22, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 31

Disney’s 2026 prices varied by date. The published adult range was $119 to $229 before tax, while tonight’s ticket was listed at $199. Tickets for ages 3 through 9 were $10 less than the adult price for the same date. Those figures explain what the event cost when inventory was available; they do not mean a sold-out ticket can still be purchased at the gate.

Be careful with resale offers. Disney does not publish a waitlist, and a ticket offered by a stranger is not the same thing as inventory released through Disney. If legitimate inventory reappears, it will be on Disney’s ticket page or in the My Disney Experience app.

Dates without the Halloween party

The following October dates are not on Disney’s Halloween party calendar: October 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17, 19, 20, 21, 24, 26, 28 and 30.

Those are the first dates to consider if you want a regular Magic Kingdom ticket to include the evening. They are not a promise of identical hours. Disney can adjust park hours and entertainment schedules, so check the operating calendar again on the day of the visit.

If your hotel dates span both kinds of nights, move the full Magic Kingdom day to a date without the party. Use the early-closing date for another park, a resort day or a shorter Magic Kingdom visit. Our guide to Magic Kingdom after dark explains why the later hours can be worth protecting.

What the party ticket includes

The Halloween party is a five-hour event with its own admission. Disney’s current event page lists Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular and Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular among the featured entertainment. It also advertises trick-or-treating and other event-specific offerings.

Exact showtimes can change by date. Use the party guide or My Disney Experience after entering the park instead of building a night around a time copied from an older online guide. The fixed planning points are the 4 p.m. admission window for party ticket holders and the 7 p.m. to midnight event hours.

A party ticket does not provide all-day admission. Someone who wants to enter before 4 p.m. needs separate valid park admission and, where required, a theme park reservation. Someone arriving at 4 p.m. or later for the party does not need to buy the extra day ticket.

Christmas party dates

The same scheduling issue returns when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party begins in November. Disney lists the 2026 event for 25 nights from November 8 through December 22. Party ticket holders may enter Magic Kingdom at 4 p.m., and the event runs from 7 p.m. to midnight. Adult tickets range from $189 to $229 before tax, with tickets for ages 3 through 9 priced $10 lower on the same date.

The November dates are 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 24, 25, 27 and 29. The December dates are 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20 and 22.

Availability is live and can change quickly. Check Disney’s Christmas party page before treating any date as open. The absence of a sold-out notice in an older article is not evidence that tickets remain.

Jollywood has a different clock

Disney Jollywood Nights takes place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, not Magic Kingdom. The 2026 and early 2027 dates are November 7, 14, 16, 21, 23 and 28; December 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21 and 23; and January 3 and 5.

Jollywood ticket holders may enter Hollywood Studios at 5:30 p.m. The event runs from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and adult prices range from $169 to $199 before tax. Because the park and hours are different, do not apply Magic Kingdom’s 6 p.m. party-night cutoff to a Hollywood Studios plan.

For Magic Kingdom planning, start with the party calendar. If your date appears there, plan the regular-ticket portion of the day around the early close. If it does not, confirm that day’s posted hours before you leave for the park.
